Abstract
This case study analyzes the extent to which Indigenous women participate in the Ecuadorian Congress by looking at the general political participation of Indigenous people. The author identifies the most significant lessons learned, key challenges and strategies for the social inclusion and political participation of Indigenous women in public spheres. It also outlines the operationalization of building strong constitutional reforms at the Parliamentary level and of a redistributive economy that would strengthen women's social location (improving the quality of life, health and education indexes).
